Partners in Projects FP6Description From year 2002-2006, EUR 17,5 billion will be distributed under the EU’s Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) to projects within research and technological development. In connection herewith, the County of North Jutland, Aalborg Municipality and the Digital North Denmark arranged the project exchange and partnerships conference "Partners in Projects FP6". The North Denmark EU-office was responsible for project management and the practical work on the conference. Three thematic areas of the Sixth Framework Programme were in focus at the conference:
- Genomics and Biotechnology for Health - Information Society Technologies (IST) - Nanotechnologies, intelligent materials and production processes
The conference was to offer optimal conditions for searching partners and working out project proposals suited for funding from the Sixth Framework Programme. Therefore, the primary element of the conference programme was three workshops at which the participants had the opportunity to present projects and discuss these with potential partners. The toolbox sessions – running parallel with the workshops – offered information and targeted counselling on participation in the Sixth Framework Programme. "Partners in Projects FP6" took place 7-8 November 2002 at Aalborg Parken. Close to 200 participants from 17 European countries attended the conference and a total of 35 project proposals were presented.
Partners The County of North Jutland, Aalborg Municipality, The Digital North Denmark, Aalborg University, Mindwork, Aalborg Tourist and Convention Bureau and the North Denmark EU-office.
Finances The conference was funded by the County of North Jutland, Aalborg Municipality and the Digital North Denmark as well as financed by conference fees.
