EU-China Partenariat

The 7.-8. November 2002 20 Danish enterprises participated in the EU-Partenariat in Beijing. NorthDenmark EU office was coordinator for the 13 enterprises from Jutland which had chosen to face the challenge and participate in the Partenariat.

For the Danish enterprises within the selected lines of business the EU-Partenariat was unique chance to get access to the enormous Chinese market. With the rapid economic development and the countries membership of WTO in 2001 follows a variety of business opportunities in the coming years.

The EU-Patenariat as a concept turned out to be very well suited for creating business contacts between the Danish participants and potential Chinese partners. In the course of the two days the event lasted, there were intensive and goal-oriented meeting activities with the 400 participating Chinese enterprises.

The Danish enterprises have subsequently expressed their satisfaction with the event, which was a good forum for discussion of possible partnerships with the eager and serious Chinese businessmen. Several Danish enterprises came home with contracts, while others are inclined to pursue the many contacts which were established.
