Development Model for SMEs of Local Government

Description

The purpose of the project is to assist Tartu in identifying a development model for SME's (Small and Medium sized Enterprises) - with a focus on employment and entrepreneurship - and to promote cooperation between the private and public sector in Tartu. To achieve this objective a comparative analysis is made of the business structure in the Tartu region as well as a business development plan for Tartu city. Besides this, study visits in Aalborg and Tartu are important parts of the project to exchange knowledge on local business development strategies as well as to analyse the situation at the beginning of the project. The project was implemented in the period 2001-2002.
